1. What does Bit Shop Do?

Bit Shop provides several services.

a) Support to Printed Circuit manufacturing shops for outside drilling and routing fabrication services. We offer quick turn prototype as well as mass drilling of pc boards, multilayers and double sided panels. Typical quantities are 4 to 36 pieces same day and quite large quantities with lead times up to 1–3 days.

b) Machine to specification of all types of engineered plastics and small parts including G-10, Ultem® , Noryl® , Delrin®, UHMW.Acrylic/Lexan®, Nylon, Delrin and others too numerous to mention.

c) Laser services for PC Via Drilling and Cutting. We also provide full laser services for the flex circuit industry.

We have streamlined the process by writing our own software to integrate the incoming data processes to facilitate quick, easy transmission of knowledge from the customer to the CNC drilling room, with no room for error. The result is a fast, convenient and easy to use process for producing your product.

2. What is unique about The Bit Shop Inc?

We have many CNC multi-spindle drilling machines. We have 2 Excellon system 2000 5 spindle 125krpm spindle machines and 1 Excellon model 689 6 spindle 180krpm and 1 Excellon 5 spindle 80krpm driller/router. In addition we use the latest state of the art ESI Flex5330 UV lasering machine for outside services. Our processes, production control and engineering methods are completely computer controlled, much of the software custom written by our own staff.

3. What is the typical cost?

The best way to find out is to submit a quote request. In the case of drilling of PCB product, we will need the following information from you in order to submit an accurate quotation. a) part number b) thickness c) qty layers d) panel hole count e) how many drill sizes are there f) panel size g) qty of panels to drill h) smallest drilled diameter i) hole count of smallest diameter j) material construction.. ie fr406, 370hr, is410.....

4. What are your limitations?

We can drill and rout parts as small as 0.050" x 0.050" and a large as 0.625" x 28.5" x 110.0" inches. We can drill holes as small as 0.004" and as large as part will permit. We are able to controlled depth drilling using holes as small as 0.006" and as large as you require and are able to maintain depth tolerances of +-0.0005" (not a misprint). We are able to laser cut parts as large as 24.0 x 25.0 inches.
