Steps toward
drilling a multilayer or double sided
board. Customer sends us an
email containing information regarding (1)
tool/part number (2) matl type such as fr4,
370hr.... (3) how many layers? (4) board
thickness (5) quanty panels to drill 6) panel
size. Also, an attachment containing the drill
file. With this information we are able to
engineer the job and have it ready to drill
before even receiving
the laminate.
While we are awaiting arrival of
laminate we are able, using the drill file and
data furnished, to create a work order and a
kitting sheet. When this is done the work order
is send to drilling and the kitting sheet is
sent to the drill kitting room. While the job is
being kitted the panels undergo a check to
determine if the inner layers are in alignment
with the drilled pattern by drilling select
holes in the center and in each corner. Zero
correction takes place until it is good at which
time the x-ray is signed off by a supervisor or
a qualified machine
operator.
Between loads, each panel is checked on the
x-ray machine to remove the possibility of a
mishap prior to beginning the next load. All
panels are checked twice. Once by the operator
and again in final inspection prior to shipment
to the
customer.
